What the candidate has said publicly, in their own words where possible. Each position links to its source so you can read the full context. Summaries are ours unless marked as submitted by the campaign. Quotes are verbatim.

Housing

Supports housing growth that adds places to live while respecting existing neighbourhoods, with infrastructure and transit planning keeping pace and faster, more accountable City approvals.

“New development must improve our neighbourhoods, not overwhelm them.”

Transit & getting around

Supports safe, connected cycling infrastructure and more service on overcrowded bus and transit routes, and wants practical fixes for congestion and safer sidewalks that reflect pedestrians, cyclists, transit riders and drivers.

“We all deserve to travel safely, including pedestrians, cyclists, transit users, and drivers.”

Taxes & city services

Says residents are paying more and getting less. Would review city spending to cut unnecessary costs, push for stronger oversight, and fight for what he calls Davenport's fair share of services and capital funding. Cites a 26 per cent property tax increase since the last election.

“Review city spending, identify unnecessary costs, and push for real accountability.”

Policing & safety

Wants visible, community-friendly policing, faster response times and measurable public safety results, and says he would work with government agencies and advocacy groups to deliver them.

“Advocate for visible, community-friendly policing.”

Other

Small business: would cut red tape and speed up City permitting, work with every BIA and independent-business group in Ward 9, and press for clean commercial streets with practical loading, parking and delivery rules.

“Local entrepreneurs and independent businesses make Davenport what it is, and they need a councillor in their corner.”
