Many thanks to community advocate Jim Stoner for inviting me to play in this year's Regent Park ball hockey tournament. It's time to seriously consider a roof for Regent Park rink. If they can do it at Greenwood, they can do it at Regent Park. https://t.co/pBKKCNvAys

Had an incredible time this past weekend at the Cabbagetown festival. We met so many interesting people, and got a great reception at the doors. Thanks to all our volunteers who showed up. My love for borscht and kimchi has only grown 🥬 https://t.co/Rw2952I97K

A heap of TTC-branded trash bags were found on fire last night at Yonge-Dundas Square. This is completely unacceptable. I call on #TTC CEO Mandeep Lali to initiate an investigation into the source of this garbage, and hold the appropriate people to account.

Lots of carnage seen from last night’s Regent Park encampment fire. How was an illegal encampment allowed to operate for several days mere metres from a daycare centre? https://t.co/e4JRvGpHVK

Encampments are a clear and present danger to communities, and with the prevalence of after-market batteries, now pose major fire risks. This is the year Toronto residents must take back their parks and public spaces.

Chris Moise, who had 4 years to make BHP a safe and welcoming public space - and has failed miserably - is now saying "the City is limited in what it can do to curb drug use in a public space," and "people are allowed to sit here," basically throwing his hands up. Councillors who accept this reality have lost the mandate to lead. Local residents should make their feelings known about him at the ballot box on October 26th.https://t.co/KOdSWh4xn1

Thank you to Jordan Anderson, Executive Director of Alpha House, for inviting me to share remarks on Overdose Awareness Day. Alpha House is unique in that they are an accountability-based, recovery-focused rehab facility. Abstinence is their end goal and their approach has a high success rate. We need more places like Alpha House to help people escape the destructive cycle of addiction.

The situation at Barbara Hall Park is spiralling out control. Moise and the rest of our political leaders are seemingly content to let the situation deteriorate. Besieged residents must make their voices heard this October at the ballot box. https://t.co/0GWQrqRgOy

Big thanks to the Cabbagetown South Residents Association for inviting me to speak and taking me on a walking tour of the area. The status quo in the vicinity of Dundas and Sherbourne is not sustainable - and the area is worse in the last four years than it’s ever been. The detrimental impact on nearby communities cannot be overstated. We need change.

City of Toronto maintenance fail We pay record amounts in taxes and yet can’t even get quality street infrastructure and repair. This is why I’m running for office. We need to bring service excellence back to City Hall.

Salute to my friend Tom Beyer who joined us on the campaign trail last week. Tom was a good friend to Mayor Rob Ford - a man who despite his personal issues, had a great love for the people of Toronto and public service. https://t.co/pP6yMJGLjY

No more dead zones in Toronto Centre Going on year five of this dead zone in downtown Toronto. Let’s find creative ways to activate these derelict spaces. That’s why people choose to live downtown in the first place. More art, culture, retail, and food opportunities will make our neighbourhoods more livable. I will work hard to achieve this. Drop a comment below with your thoughts. 👇🏻

Yesterday was another great day canvassing in Toronto Centre. We received an overwhelmingly positive response in Cabbagetown, and I could sense there is a real hunger for change. Residents liked that I have private sector experience, and can bring that acumen to City Hall. The campaign marches on! Join us: https://t.co/WOspP1mU1l

It’s an absolute disgrace that we as a city allow innocent dogs to suffer while in the possession of their fentanyl-addicted owners. As city councillor I will fight tooth and nail to ensure Animal Services and other agencies are actively rescuing these distressed creatures. If you can’t keep your own life together while consuming hard drugs, you are in no position to care for a dog.

Zanzibar was a staple of the legendary Yonge Street scene going back to its heyday in the 1960s. A uniquely Toronto landmark that gave this city its character. Any developer who is found to be involved in this fire should NEVER be allowed to build in this city again. https://t.co/Rl8wDQBEYK

The upper court's decision today on bike lanes is the correct one. Building bike infrastructure is important but not when it is imposed on major arterials that cause extra gridlock for cars and emergency vehicles. And when those arterials do not have a sufficient volume of cyclists, those lanes simply shouldn't be there.

We cannot tolerate a city where stores are actively selling the tools of neighbourhood destruction. Those who profit off death have no place in our communities. As city councillor, I will do everything in my power to shut down any store that is selling the tools for meth and fent use.

Chalk up another reason to rein in these e-machines and impose a strict licensing and regulation regime. There is absolutely no accountability for vendors or riders of these scooters, and our city councillor is not doing enough to lobby the province to make the necessary changes. https://t.co/bWT8M8BZ0I
