The Billy Bishop Expansion looks more like a money heist on paper, and sounds like the beginning (continuation?) of Doug Ford's velvet gloved dictatorship.  This is my quick comment themed analysis.  Ford and his circus want to spend $5 billion dollars on the Billy Bishop Airport Expansion.  "How do we finance it?" becomes most peoples' first question.  It cannot be through revenue generated by the airport, because it only does about $16.9 million net (ex., from last year).   Do we debt finance it through a loan?  I think that's a silly idea, because it would be a $5 billion dollar loan that, on a 5-6% interest rate per year + principle... would work out to about a $250 million dollar repayment plan *per year*... for 25 years.  Bear in mind, that airport doesn't make anything close to $250 million dollars per year; it net $16.9 million last year.  So even if we poured all profits in per year... we would still be *short* $233.1 million dollars *per year* for 25 years. The Ford Circus, or whatever moron is drafting his crayon level analysis is trying to argue that the airport expansion will generate $8.5 billion dollar economic benefit.  Where is the report that actually demonstrates that financial projection?  Great question.  The answer is... *drum roll*... it doesn't exist.  Ford's team is trying to sell the Powers That Be on a future profit with zero economic proof.  Some people might call it ambitious accounting, but I prefer to call it what it’s beginning to look like: a doorway to fraud, and or another instance of our village idiot and his 3 brain cells hard at work.  This airport expansion looks like it enables what fraud might look like before we call it that… at an almost titanic level (ex., the companies receiving the tax payer dollars to inevitably fund it... belong to the Ford's circle of friends, network, etc).  This is very similar to the Greenbelt scandal; and this doesn't even account for the vast environmental impact it will have, or the laundry list of potential health consequences residence will face due to air quality, sound distortions, water waste spill off, etc.   If I were Mayor of Toronto, that is how and what I would say to Prime Minister Carney.  We need to demand the business case before we bulldoze, and make the math make (even a little bit) of sense. #toronto #billybishop #dougford #onpoli #deville2026

Do Toronto residents who are not employed at major media platforms use X/Twitter, or is it simply an echo chamber for political consultants, politicians and political analysts? Instagram and TikTok seem to be far more rich with working class people, ordinary residents and a mirror of the voting public. #onpoli #toronto #canadianpolitics

If I were Mayor of Toronto: I’d unlock our $27B real estate portfolio to fast-track affordable housing. •Micro-units & low-rise builds •Tiny + prefab homes •Repurpose 8,400 city-owned buildings We don’t lack space. We lack a Mayor and City Council who understand that we need to move with urgency. The working class cannot afford to wait. #toronto #torontomayor #politics #onpoli #deville2026

If defeatism is the foundation of your thinking around issues affecting the working class like housing affordability, food insecurity, mental health, and public drug use, then you are standing in the way of progress. Real progress requires people who are solution minded, solution driven, and solution first thinkers. As the next Mayor of Toronto, I will champion policy that balances idealism with pragmatism. Every policy will clearly identify the problem it solves, include measurable KPIs to track success, remain lean and agile, and be evaluated based on real outcomes for working people. If something is not working, we pivot; and if it works… we scale it. Government should operate with accountability, adaptability, and a relentless focus on improving quality of life for everyday people. If you want to be a part of the solution, than join me as I Become The Next Mayor of Toronto. #toronto #onpoli #canadianpolitics

Whenever people tell me Becoming The Next Mayor of Toronto is impossible... I remind them that a single Mother raising kids from infancy to Excellence should have been impossible too. Mothers are proof that impossible things are always possible. https://t.co/eHwNlJVFgD

Career politicians, like City Councillor Brad Bradford, have had a career lifetime, or in this case 8 years... to effect the exact same changes they promise today.  They'll happily receive a salary increase from $137,537.40 to $170,588.60, and then in that same breath try and convince you that they too understand the struggles of the ordinary person.  At some point, if they could have induced change, to any measurable and or meaningful scale... they would have. They haven't because they cannot, or because they do not care.  At some point career politicans need to be held accountable to measurable key performance indicators that demonstrate how what they do in office works toward solving the problems of The People as defined by The People.  Toronto needs City Leadership by and from people who are of The People, and incentivized to solve the problems that impact The People as a member of the working class.  That is why I'm running to be Mayor of Toronto.

Organized crime becomes a little more tempting for the ordinary person when they need to choose between paying their rent and eating. #deville2026 #toronto #torontolife #torontomayor #politics #rentalaffordability #torontorealestate https://t.co/9E42oRwg81

@TorontoPolice do NOT need $1.2 BILLION to throw guns & badges at #mentalhealth crisis. Slash their budget by 30% ($360M). The “Defunded Police” bag can now serve priority issues in #TOpoli — like a Renter’s Relief Program. @6ixbuzztv @CP24 @torontolife @marksaunders_TO https://t.co/UBS9uA2Grr
